Re Voluxion is born from the idea of trying to reuse the factory waste products that the production system physiologically generates. In particular, it is a segment of production which straddles a change of color, and that inevitably comes out from the machine with a characteristic color which is considered a defect and which allocates the piece to a process of elimination and subsequent regeneration. The particular melange color that the textile market reference refuses, instead is very attractive to the design.
Re Voluxion is inspired by a 60's classic form of Italian chandelier, and it is reinvented in the free-standing version as well, single or combined in multiple compositions. Re Voluxion intercepts the waste products and turns them into design objects.
The virtuous operation of regeneration of waste products, which is a routine for the factory, goes a step further in the scale of sustainability: from recycling to reuse. By a process of inclusion of the waste products in the production line -that still requires use of energy, it jumps to a level of upgrading of waste through design, allowing you to get a suspension or table eco-friendly and unique lamp. Because each lamp is unique, you can choose the base color from the range of the offered colors, but you'll get a lamp with some variations compared to the photographed one and you'll be the only one with that lamp!
It's a lamp in fully recyclable plastic. The packaging design is completely made from recycled paper with no glue or adhesive, in the name of environmental protection.
Also, the kit is sold in the hanging or in the table version separately, so when you want, you can simply turn your hanging lamp into a table one or vice versa, maintaining the same single lamp shade. If you want, you can reuse the kit with one of the covers of the ReONE line that are compatible with the Re Voluxion lamp sockets, so you can get another lamp at a very low cost. The hanging or table kit can be white or black.
Re Voluxion is locally made in Tuscany, Italy.
Re Voluxion is designed by Sabrina Bignami's and Alessandro Capellaro's b-arch studio.
